About Dr. Sangeetha Makesh

From a young age, Dr. Sangeetha Makesh was interested in healing. When the time came to choose between the physical and the psychological, she chose the latter to help those who are lost inside themselves. She has been gifted with poise and a delicate equipoise, in her outlook, which has helped her in her chosen profession of offering hope to those with wounds that are not visible.

She has pursued her dreams with stellar results. The Madras Psychology Society Gold Medal in M.A. Applied Psychology and the Durganand Sinha Best Dissertation Award by the National Academy of Psychology at Christ University, Bangalore for her Ph.D. theses are but two of the many rewards and recognition she has received.

She started her counselling practice over a decade ago and has successfully helped couples, young adults and people across the entire age spectrum address their relationship problems. Her flourishing clinical practice notwithstanding, she is also an affiliate EAP counselling Psychologist for various corporate and industries in and around Chennai.

Having played the role of an academician holds her in good stead, when she is invited frequently to deliver talks and conduct workshops in her area of expertise, relationship management, at various colleges in and out of Chennai.

In addition to and as a logical progression of her academic work, she has attended many conferences and presented scientific research papers. She is glad to discuss with and help anyone interested in knowing more about this aspect of her work in detail.
